A large shopping centre in China was turned into an inferno over the weekend after a fire engulfed it for more than two days.
Over 1,000 firefighters and 200 fire engines were sent to the six-storey building to put out the flames in Sichuan Province.
No casualties have been reported.
The fire occurred in the Tatuo Market, a wholesale market in the city of Dazhou that sells clothing, fashion accessories, home appliances, etc.
According to Dazhou Fire-fighting Department, the blazed started in the basement at around 6pm on Friday.
The basement has a cold storage warehouse occupying more than 4,000 square metres (43,055 square feet), said the authority.
The rest of the basement, measuring more than 10,000 square metres (107,639 square feet), is reported to have separate small warehouses storing general commodities.
The flames quickly spread from the basement to the upper floors, which contains three storeys of small shops, another storey of warehouses and a karaoke parlour on the top floor.
Dazhou Fire-fighting Department said it was 'extremely difficult' to put out the fire because firefighters had to break into stalls and warehouses one by one to control the dangerous situation.
The officers also had to take turns every 20 minutes due to the high temperatures and toxic gases inside the burning building.
The blaze was put out at around 10pm on Saturday but it reignited one hour later after commodities caught fire under hot smoke.
Flames were said to burst out in multiple places on the first and fourth floor and the floor boards on the ground floor partially collapsed under the high temperatures.
The authority continued to send firefighters and fire engines to the scene.
